I am a Software Engineer currently working in Frankfurt.
I love to play against intelligent bots but games rarely feature them. Sometimes they cheat, sometimes they are unrealistically fast or they are easy to win against. But this does not provide a challenge for the player. That is why I focused on Artificial Intelligence in my studies and in our projects.
Besides Artificial Intelligence, I'm also interested in Virtual Reality. I believe that Virtual Reality offers a great number of possibilities for developing cool applications and games which have not been tested yet.
Currently, I'm working as a Software Engineer at Gritworld on the development of a digital engine with a focus VFX and animations. Before working on gritgene, I provided technical support and various smaller plugins for the Unreal Engine 4 to the production teams at Gritworld and external clients. This allowed me to gain experience in modern C++ and engine development.
In 2017, I worked as a research assistant at the Chair for Information Systems where I developed applications for AR devices like the HoloLens.
After five years of study, I successfully finished my studies in Informatics: Games Engineering at the Technische Universität München in December 2017.
Due to many projects during our studies and various game jams, I gained experience in developing games in Unity3D with the programming language C#. Additionally, I worked on some projects like Firespark which were developed in C++ and OpenGL.
While studying I also worked on approximately 25 projects, which provided me with experience in software design as well as with the ability to work in a team. Some of these projects are available below.
